Past Ride Reports
June 14 This was a night ride to the South side of Cold Creek. Nice ride but very dusty. There 32 rigs, and there were horses. It was somewhat technical since there were switch backs and rocks. Returning the group split in half and one half went back the same way and the other half tried to find a new route. Someone lost their fuel pump and was towed back through the dust. Basically they went to Wheeler Pass and did not do any side canyons.
June 6/27, 6/28 This ride is for Beaver, Utah. Camp is 20-30 miles from I15. Some people misplaced the camping areas. Lonnie Smith led the ride. It was dry RV camping for most. Saturday was a 60 mile ride, almost back to Beaver, but was very hot. There were 13 machines and 17 people. The ride was 40 miles Sunday and more technical. The ride was to Circleville and you need to watch width. Over 60 inches can be a problem.
The route is part of the Paiute trail system and is cooler since it reaches 10,000 feet. They made it to Puffer Lake.
REMINDER CHECK TIRE PRESSURES TO MATCH CONDITIONS.
August 2,3 A return to Caliente and Chief Mountain We will follow the Silver State Trail. Captain Bob is leading. Make sure you have extra gas, water, rain gear and lights.
